In response to the FY26 Budget, Governor Moore announced a hiring freeze for the Executive Branch of the State of Maryland. As such, the State is temporarily pausing recruitment efforts for some positions.
However, certain classifications -- e.g. in public safety, as well those included in the Federal Workers Hiring Initiative -- are exempted from the hiring freeze and so are still actively being recruited for. Applications for these roles are encouraged and you may see the complete list of those active recruitments below. Thank you for your continued interest in opportunities with the State of Maryland.
