State of Maryland Job Openings

In response to the FY26 Budget, Governor Moore announced a hiring freeze for the Executive Branch of the State of Maryland.  As such, the State is temporarily pausing recruitment efforts for most positions. 

However, certain classifications -- e.g. in public safety -- are exempted from the hiring freeze and so are still actively being recruited for.  Applications for these roles are encouraged and you may see the complete list of those active recruitments below. Federal Workers Hiring Initiative

The Moore-Miller Administration remains committed to making it possible for public servants who raised their hand to serve our country to stay in Maryland.
