Compiles and integrates geospatial data from a wide variety of sources for analysis
Performs project reporting, data creation, data conversion, data transfer, and map production
Makes sense of GIS data and applies the information to planning and real world situations
Responsible for spatial analysis and representation of data in maps
May perform programming or scripting to automate tasks
Reads and interprets data from spatial and non-spatial databases
Provides technical and customer support to users and/or other agencies
Data extraction from multiple sources to include: computer aided dispatch, fire records management system, and electronic patient care reporting.
Automation of recurring reports.
Create dashboards in NFORS for situational awareness and data analysis.
Fulfill data requests for internal and external stakeholders.
Design strategic maps for: new annexation loads, fire investigations, heat maps, automatic aid agreements, and station/unit placement.
Support and education for understanding: reports, pivots tables/charts/graphs, NFORS dashboards, Excel, and other office tools.
Reporting to the National Fire Incident Reporting System.
Develop tools, with the ability to dynamically change criteria, to analyze call load, CON, day of week, and hour of day.
Minimum Education Level & Type: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience with working with and interpreting GIS data and applications
Valid and Unrestricted Class D - Driver's License
Experience teaching others in the use of data-related applications.
Knowledge of Computer Aided Dispatch systems.
Knowledge of fire department data and/or records management systems.
Familiarity with the NFORS application.
