Conducts housing inspections for compliance with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and City of Tucson regulations. Prepares and maintains related records and reports and evaluates rent reasonableness. Researches and negotiates rent with property owners. Interacts with the public and reviews new regulations.
This job reports to: Housing Assistance Supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of directly related experience.
*Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Special Job Requirements
A Housing Quality Standards Inspector certification must be obtained within one year of hire or promotion date.
