Prepares budget recommendations by documenting, proofing, reviewing the requested budget from the department, preparing a recommended budget for City Manager and completing the budget document, and making changes to the adopted budget as requested.
Performs budget management and control by authorizing, reporting and projecting budget expenditures and revenues. Acts as consultant and facilitator to departments and management by assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures or providing information.
Assists with producing the short-term, mid-term, and long-term forecast. Assist in the research and identification of economic influences in the City revenues and expenditures, and performing statistical analysis and comprehensive review of forecast model variables; and providing support in preparing summary presentations and reports for City management. Will also learn about the development and testing of the forecasting system.
Minimum Education Level & Type: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in developing, monitoring, and preparing of annual operating and capital budgets or financial transactions

If the position requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), the endorsements will be listed under "Endorsements." Under Safety Sensitive a "Yes" means employees with this classification are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
