COMMUNITY SAFETY HEALTH AND WELLNESS RESOURCE MANAGER (#0075)

General Description

Responsible for supporting the Program Director in coordinating services and resources on behalf of the program’s field teams. The coordination of services will include working with non-profits and other agencies to assist the program’s field teams in connecting residents to needed services.  Provides additional support to other existing field teams in Community Safety, Health and Wellness including the Mental Health Support Team (MHST), Housing First Program, and the Tucson Collaborative Community Care (TC-3). This position will oversee a team of 4-6 full-time employees.  

Essential Functions

Supports the implementation of the program vision by identifying project needs, cultivating existing and identifying future partners, coordinating the acquisition of resources, assisting with scheduling, maintaining records, assisting in preparing grant applications, reviewing proposals, developing and monitoring relevant contracts, reviewing work activities and project status, compiling and analyzing data, reviewing and coordinating the preparation of documents and convening meetings and workshops.

Develops strategic partnerships and contacts with community representatives, external agencies, and other organizations as a representative of the City.

Develops training opportunities, protocols and professional development opportunities for the field teams. Provides technical assistance to field teams and support with daily team deployments as needed.

Assists with the implementation and evaluation of program policies, projects and procedures.  

Analyzes organization and community needs, analyzes trends, reviews statistics and opportunities and communicates to the Program Director of impending developments.   

Assists Program Director in scheduling and providing technical assistance to field teams and support with daily team deployments as needed. 

Assists with curriculum and professional development and implementation of program training for the Community Safety, Health and Wellness field teams, various other agencies, and the community.   

Supports Program Director by monitoring reporting, data collection, data analysis and development and maintenance of data visualization on a public dashboard and other public communication tools. 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education Level & Type: Bachelor's Degree in social work, Behavioral Health, Public Health, or closely related field.

Minimum Experience Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in social services, behavioral health, counseling or closely related field.

Valid and Unrestricted Class D - Driver's License.

Driving Requirements

The following information pertains to driving requirements for this classification with the City of Tucson. If the position requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL), the endorsements will be listed under "Endorsements." Under Safety Sensitive a "Yes" means employees with this classification are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. License Type A,B,C,D,or M may require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. Exceptions to classification driving requirement's may exist based on position.
