LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
- Oversees the planning and development of new services inclusive of oversight of the Department of Research and Innovation;
- Collaborates with other relevant service agencies in developing an integrated, equitable, coherent, person-centered service delivery system;
- Provides specialized clinical, programmatic, and consultative resources to the Behavioral Health -Administration; agencies of local jurisdictions and counties;
- Reviews certain standards of care, utilization review and concurrent treatment authorization for publicly funded health services; develops, with the assistance of the Deputy Secretary and Directors within BHA, new treatment models for health services, system plans, clinical information systems, clinical procedures, and tracking mechanisms for Administrations.
- Provides consultation across MDH and participates in public health policy discussions and planning
- Identifies strategic opportunities for service provision and implementation of models of evidence-based care
- Partners on the construct of metrics for accountability, performance, quality and outcomes
This is a management position directly responsible to the Deputy Secretary of the Behavioral Health Administration and the incumbent represents the Administration in the absence of the Deputy Secretary.
