LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public
administration, public policy, business administration, economics, accounting,
finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience as determined by
the search committee.
The grade an applicant will be hired at (Budget Analyst I, II, III or IV)
will be determined by the search committee based on a combination of relevant
education and work experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
*
Master's degree in one of the fields mentioned above, or equivalent experience
as determined by the search committee;
*
Experience in budget formulation, accounting, personnel management analysis or
administrative work, including economic analysis or budget planning,
formulation, review or management;
*
Experience working in the areas of State government, such as health care
financing and administration, government services (facilities management,
information technology, etc.), social services, primary and secondary
education, higher education, public safety and juvenile services, or natural
resources and the environment;
*
Experience in performance budgeting concepts;
*
Experience using pivot tables and database/statistical software.

Successful candidates
will be ranked as Best Qualified, Better Qualified, or Qualified and placed on
the employment (eligible) list for at least one year. The resulting
certified eligible list for this recruitment may be used for similar positions in
this or other State agencies.

• Personal
Leave- new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually
(prorated based on start date).
• Annual
Leave – ten (10) days of accumulated annual leave per year.

Leave – fifteen (15) days of accumulated sick leave per year.

Leave – up to sixty (60) days of paid parental leave upon the birth or adoption
of a child.
