Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Provides technical expertise on the end-to-end service to build systems that are scalable and maintainable.
- Works closely with vendor teams and Experience Leads to ensure that the tools we're building are scalable and maintainable.
- Maintains technical direction and standards for integrations, tools and sites being built in-house.
- Works with the Digital Services team to set and meet quality standards for our products and services.
- Reviews and approves proposed product code generated by staff and contractors for deployment in production environments.
- Contributes to documentation, tests, style fixes, accessibility, performance, security, and more.
- Conducts technical discovery to understand the engineering risks and opportunities to inform the technical direction of FAMLI's services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 years of engineering experience
- 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading teams and/or projects
- Experience working closely with Product Management or Product Owners to make difficult decisions about feature prioritization
- Experience in providing thoughtful, clear and constructive code review
- Dev/Ops or infrastructure management
- Scaling systems
- Front end accessibility
- ACH payments
- Building or managing maintainable rules engines
