Main Purpose of Job

The IT Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects, programs, and product capabilities within the CSMS application / MD THINK platform. Their primary role involves managing the execution of IT initiatives from initiation to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Handle daily management of deliverables through vendor and sub-contracted personnel within application delivery team.
  • Contribute to transformational efforts being driven by CSMS and MD Think leadership.
  • Implement new processes and ways of working to drive enhanced delivery.
  • Raise risks and cross-application dependencies.
  • Engage and manage relationship with key client leaders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
Experience:  Five years of experience in a delivery management role. 

Note: Candidates may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis for a Bachelor's degree.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Three years of experience in project management or a related role including experience managing projects, teams, budgets, and stakeholders.
  • Two years of experience tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • One year of experience in Quality Assurance: Ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations through regular reviews and testing processes.

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week(or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits. Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
