Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Prepare and set up food service lines and steam tables. Serve food. Serve measured portions in accordance with DJS menus. Take food temperature to comply with HACCP–based standard operating procedures.
- Clean and sanitize utensils, dishes, pots, pans, appliances, and work areas in the kitchen and cafeteria areas. Completes checklists and temperature monitors to comply with HACCP-based standard operating procedures.
- Prepare vegetables, fruits, beverages, sandwiches, salads, and simple desserts as needed for food production.
- Receive and store food in an orderly manner to comply with COMAR and HACCP–based standard operating procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: None.
Experience: None.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in preparing and serving large quantities of food.
- Experience with serving food at luncheons, conferences, and other special events.
