This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

LOCATION OF POSITION

Baltimore City - 6776 Reisterstown Road Baltimore, Maryland 21215

POSITION DUTIES

This position is responsible for ensuring that all functions of the division are managed and operated in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards and guidelines. This includes establishing policies and procedures where applicable, the review of existing policies and procedures and continuous monitoring of all units within the division for compliance with all policies and procedures. The position has the authority to direct the actions of the Deputy Chief Information Officer, the Director of Project Management, the Director of the Criminal Justice Information System and the Director of Management Services to correct any process found to be noncompliant.

This position must have the technical knowledge to monitor and evaluate processes without relying on the assistance of the staff performing those processes. The position reports incidents of noncompliance to the Chief Information Officer and advises on the status of corrective actions. This position provides the division with an independent authority to insure that its various operations and functions are being performed properly. The position requires 24 hour/7 days a week availability as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Experience: 5 Years of IT experience working in Cyber Security   
Notes: Four (4) years of IT experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
