LOCATION OF POSITION
POSITION DUTIES
- Providing the timely resolution to complex tax inquiries that have not been resolved through ordinary channels;
- Identifying and solving systemic challenges faced by taxpayers through interagency collaboration;
- Regularly surveying taxpayers to obtain their feedback on the quality of services received and suggestions for improvements;
- Compiling data on the types of taxpayer complaints and develop policy recommendations to address systemic issues;
- Conducting research around emerging best practices in the field;
- Managing an online taxpayer portal; and
- Making recommendations regarding potential policy-based and legislative solutions to improve the taxpayer.
- Working closely with the director to ensure an efficient and consistent workflow to ensure all matters receive a timely resolution
- Assisting taxpayers and tax professionals with inquiries;
- Tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify systematic improvement opportunities to ensure that taxpayer interactions with the agency are streamlined, efficient, and positive;
- Ensuring a high level of internal and external customer service;
- Maintaining a database to track casework and taxpayer interactions; and
- Contributing to the publication of annual reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Six years of administrative staff or professional work.
NOTES:
- Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION
