Main Purpose of Job
This is the managerial level of work in the Department of Juvenile Services, Behavioral Health, responsible for managing behavioral health (Mental Health and Substance Abuse) services at the two Youth Centers located in the Western Region. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the quality and outcomes of behavioral health services at the Youth Centers, providing administrative and clinical supervision to professional behavioral health staff, providing technical support, representing the behavioral health division in the region, including providing reports and recommendations to the Director of the Behavioral Health Unit regarding the programs results and needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Determined
by the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists under the
licensing requirements for Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC); or by the Maryland State
Board of Social Work Examiners under the licensing requirements for Licensed
Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C).
Experience: At least three
years of professional experience delivering/providing clinical
behavioral health services.

Candidates
must currently hold Board Approved Supervisor status as a Licensed Clinical
Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC)
with the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists; or as
a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) with the Maryland
State Board of Social Work Examiners.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in providing behavioral health clinical services to adolescent males and/or females, preferably in a Juvenile Justice capacity, while working as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Experience in providing administrative supervision to behavioral health clinicians.
