POSITION DUTIES

The main purpose of the Office Services Clerk Lead position is to oversee the daily operations of the Vault. These duties include having extensive knowledge of the vault process and functions to include searching and retrieving records via sound-ex and microfilm when needed. Processing Local Health Department requests which may entail conducting manual searches and updating both electronic and hard records. The Vault Lead Worker will work with internal and external customers to obtain additional information in an effort to conduct successful searches that fall in line with the Governor's office customer service initiative. Responsibilities also include conducting searches and pulling original records for various units in the division to make updates and corrections. This position will be the custodian of the vault handling maintenance of records, maintaining organization, shredding and safeguarding documents along with any other duties that may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Two years of experience performing clerical duties.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two years of the required experience.

2. Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, data base, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administrative classifications or in Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Clerical Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have experience with the following:
- Customer service with internal and external customers
- Court findings and documentation
- Retaining and producing work timely with attention to detail
- Bilingual, a plus
