- Conduct an initial review of assigned work or project within assigned or prescribed time frame, identify the key components or issue, seek clarifying information, including from the applicant, and gather additional information and data, as relevant.
- Prepare error-free, grammatically correct, clear, and concise documents, policy briefs, presentations, and other correspondence that demonstrate attention to detail, depth of analysis, ability to translate data and information into policy recommendations, ability to weigh and consider options, and ability to clearly communicate information to executive leadership to facilitate decision-making.
- Meet deadlines and complete analyses, write reports, and prepare correspondence within prescribed time.
- Synthesize information, apply regulations, standards, statutes, and relevant law accurately to translate into policy recommendations and consideration of policy options. Must also be able to identify where additional guidance may be needed to identify or interpret applicable regulations/standards/statutes/law to appropriately consider policy implications of available options and facilitate decision-making.
- Independently form policy recommendations and weigh pros and cons of policy options that incorporate perspectives of all Marylanders, including health care professionals, organizations, plans, and community members living in and serving underserved communities, including rural communities and those experiencing health-related social needs. Must be able to make recommendations and provide analysis that supports executive decision-making that considers the implications of policy choices and changes for diverse and intersectional health care professionals, health care organizations, and communities.
- Work collaboratively, supporting and building strength on a high-functioning, highly productive, and publicly visible team within the Center that produces high quality work. Includes accepting new assignments, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to work across teams, and receiving and applying feedback to continuously improve work products and grow professionally.
