POSITION DUTIES
- Hands-On Classroom Instruction (NCCER Core): Lead the 85-hour instructor-guided, in-person component using the standardized NCCER Core curriculum. Instruct and evaluate students across eight mandatory safety and foundational modules:
- Basic Safety, Construction Math, Hand Tools, Power Tools, Construction Drawings, Basic Communication, Basic Employability Skills, Material Handling
- Digital Learning Facilitation & Progress Tracking: Manage asynchronous and independent study work (100 hours credited) using Orijin learning tablets. Monitor and guide students through approximately 415 hours of customizable online trade pathways including HVAC, Plumbing, Multi-Family Maintenance, Electrical, Residential Construction, Facilities Maintenance, Commercial HVAC, Appliance Repair, Clean Energy, Solar, and Pre-Apprenticeship courses (General Trades, Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing.
- Program Operations & Data Reporting: Partner with Labore CE's Tablet Program Manager to establish enrollment processes, manage course rosters, and compile compliance data. Input student progress milestones and credit hour tracking into the CE Student framework managed by the database team.
- Implementation & Site Management: Collaborate with institutional principals during the initial 4-to-6 month cycle. Identify operational challenges, resolve tablet or equipment access barriers in housing units/libraries, and adapt logistics.
- Student Mentorship, Credentialing & Professional Safety: Ensure students complete unlimited hands-on practice in a strictly monitored, secure environment. Facilitate testing for stackable credentials, leading to three or more Orijin Construction Certificates, the NCCER Core Certificate, and the Maryland Department of Labor Certificate of Occupational Training Completion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Possession of appropriate educational credentials as determined by the Maryland State Board of Education.
