Maryland Cannabis Administration, Office of Compliance and Regulations/Licensing and Compliance, Field Operations, Linthicum, Maryland

Main Purpose of Job

In representation of the Maryland Cannabis Administration and its Office of Compliance & Regulations, this position will supervise all investigative and regulatory functions, as well as enforcement activities, within the Central Region of the State of Maryland. This position will direct the enforcement activities of subordinate investigators, including reviewing their work products for accuracy and sufficiency. This position will also be expected to provide training and skill development for subordinate investigators.

Additionally, this position will conduct compliance checks, site inspections, and audits on medical cannabis licensees. Furthermore, this position will audit files and logs, including pesticide logs; surveillance logs; manifest and transfer logs; visitor logs; waste logs; and a review of the administrative METRC data system, to ensure proper record keeping. Based on any positive and/or negative findings, as well as any determined action items, this position will be responsible for authoring audit reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Ten (10) years of professional experience involving investigative work, at least three (3) years of which consists of supervising the investigative work of subordinates.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should have professional experience managing an investigative unit. The desired candidate should also have professional experience in a cannabis regulatory workplace, along with professional experience conducting compliance investigations within a cannabis regulatory workplace.
