Main Purpose of Job

This is a part-time (70%) executive level management position that reports directly to the Board for the Certification of Residential Child Care Program Professionals to administer the statutory mandates of the Board. This position requires extensive knowledge of management, budget, compliance, and planning as well as a high level of analytical skill.

The principal duty of this position is to direct a staff of two (2) individuals to develop, evaluate and implement the administrative procedures to ensure that the Board fulfills its mandated responsibilities. The Board's statutory responsibilities include licensure, disciplinary, legislative, regulatory, public information, fiscal, and general administrative functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and six years of administrative or professional experience, three of which must have been at a supervisory or management level.

A master’s degree will substitute for one year of general experience. Additional experience will substitute on a year-for-year basis for the bachelor’s degree. A doctorate will substitute for two years of general experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess executive-level managerial experience and experience leading staff in the development, evaluation and implementation of administrative procedures. The desired candidate should also possess a working knowledge of residential child care.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume is required and must be uploaded to your application.

Candidates may remain on the certified eligible list for a period of at least one year. The resulting certified eligible list for this recruitment may be used for similar positions in this or other State agencies.
