Main Purpose of Job

The individual in this position is licensed with the State of Maryland as a Nursing Home Administrator and provides supervision of Social Services and the Activity Therapy Departments. The Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) oversees in conjunction with the Nursing Director the delivery of quality care and services to the facility’s patients/residents. The NHA maintains licensure with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Five years of experience working in a health care setting, including three years of managerial or supervisory experience
  • Current license as a Nursing Home Administrator from the Maryland Board of Nursing Home Administrators

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess the following:
  • Understanding and adherence to federal, state and local regulations regarding Long Term Care
  • Familiarity with communication paths and reporting structures involving the Office of Health Care Qualify and the Maryland Department of Health
  • Experience supervising a diverse team of healthcare professionals

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a current Nursing Home Administrator license from the Maryland Board of Nursing Home Administrators. License number and expiration date should be included on the application and/or upload license to the application.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume is required and must be uploaded to your application.
