Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Develops short, middle, and long-range planning goals for ORSR activities, grant programs, and local government projects.
- Evaluates, plans, and directs ORSR projects in accordance with research, evaluation, and archival needs of other programs within MHT.
- Evaluates, monitors, and reports program accomplishments. performs personnel and budget planning and oversight.
- Consults with and directs ORSR staff members regarding individual issues of policy, precedent, procedure, or law as well as broader programmatic plans and initiatives.
- Supervises, administers, and directly oversees particularly complex, precedent setting, or sensitive projects.
- Has overall responsibility for the non-capital grant program.
- Provides a broad range of assistance to federal, state, and local agencies, non-profit institutions, private industry and the public.
- Synthesizes research and disseminates to public and professional audiences through lectures, publications and on-line sources.
- Provides educational outreach to the public through lectures and public speaking; provides professional training to MHT staff and preservation professionals through field instruction, lectures, online or printed material and university-level teaching.
- Has overall responsibility for the MHT Press program
