Introduction
The MSD nurse is responsible for providing health care for
the students and to act as health care liaison between the parents and the
school.
This is an 11-month, school year position. Nurses do not
work when school is closed during winter break, spring break, and during the
summer months. The salary range reflects the 11-month work schedule.
This is a 2nd Shift position. The work schedule is Sundays (4:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and Mondays-Thursdays (2:45 PM - 11:00 PM) Plus 3 weekends during the school year (one in fall, one in winter and one in spring).

POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.
Experience: None.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skilled in American Sign Language.
Two years experience working with children either in a
school or hospital setting.
Able to work and make decisions independently.
One year of experience in school, critical care, or
community nursing.
Knowledge or ability to navigate Google Workspace.
Experience with PowerSchool or another student information system.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence.
2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
3. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintain current certification.
