POSITION DUTIES
The Executive Office of the Comptroller of Maryland is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
professional to join our team as a Correspondence Specialist. This individual will play a key role in
supporting the Executive Office of the Comptroller by ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering
exceptional frontline administrative and constituent services.
The Correspondence Specialist will manage all incoming correspondence, including phone calls, emails,
faxes, and physical mail by responding appropriately and directing inquiries through the correct channels.
The role also oversees the organization and maintenance of both electronic and physical filing systems to
ensure accurate records and timely access to essential information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an
accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years of
administrative staff or professional work.

possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a

Possession of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
Administrative or Office Support experience in a government or public-facing environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office software
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
Professional, courteous, and service oriented communication style
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
