Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Design, develop, and maintain network architecture solutions supporting system availability, disaster recovery, security, and scalable operations.
- Monitor network performance, system availability, and operational metrics to identify issues, recommend improvements, and optimize reliability and throughput.
- Review and evaluate infrastructure and application changes through Change Control Board (CCB) processes to ensure alignment with architectural standards and operational requirements.
- Support system software releases, infrastructure updates, deployment planning, and network-impact assessments for production environments.
- Provide technical oversight and support for data centers, virtual infrastructure, file transfer APIs, gateways, and HIPAA-compliant EDI operations.
- Support network security, disaster recovery, and compliance activities by reviewing configurations, assessing risks, and recommending remediation strategies.
- Maintain network documentation, operational runbooks, batch schedules, and automation processes supporting ongoing system operations.
- Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve network-related issues and support operational continuity.
- Develop reports, technical analyses, and performance recommendations to support leadership decision-making and infrastructure planning.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of LTSSMaryland operational stability and continuous improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting Medicaid, healthcare, or other large-scale government technology systems.
- Experience working with the MDH LTSSMaryland System.
- Experience with network architecture, disaster recovery planning, HIPAA-compliant data exchange, and enterprise infrastructure operations.
- Experience supporting Change Control Board (CCB) processes, system releases, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Experience with network automation, scripting, monitoring tools, or batch processing technologies.
- Strong knowledge of network security, systems integration, infrastructure operations, and continuity of operations planning.
