The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. LOCATION OF POSITION
POSITION DUTIES
To perform administrative
responsibilities involving the analysis of therapeutic community programs &
MOUD services and/or procedures with recommendations for improvements while
under the general supervision of a management official. Work independently to
formulate reports and management tools such as procedural manuals, work-flow
charts, and performance measurement criteria, in addition to participating in
the formulation of program planning and establishment of program goals and
objectives promoting orderly growth and expansion. Acts as a liaison with other
officials within State agencies and/or SUDTS contractors.
- Manage all the referrals for SUD Treatment Programs, including managing the sud.therapeuticreferrals@maryland.gov group email.
- Work closely with Contract Manager and/or Director to determine all liquidated damages that need applied to the SUDTS contractors. This will include reviews of the SOPs, approved schedules, and auditing reports to make sure SUDTS contractors are held accountable.
- Email direct intake lists and ensure screenings and assessments are being successfully completed at all DPSCS facilities.
- Organize all monthly audits needed to monitor required services provided by the SUDTS contractors and submit findings to the Contract Manager and Director of SUDTS.
- Work to organize the monthly stats provided by the SUDTS contractors and determine what other statistical information is needed to appropriately know what is and what is not occurring within the facilities.
- Work to organize the request and needs of the SUDTS contractors and work with the Contact Manager and Director of SUDTS to get tasks completed, including obtaining IT equipment, access to network, and all other IT and onboarding needs within the facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must be fluent in spoken and written English. The ideal candidate must effectively and respectfully communicate with diverse populations, providing services to individuals with different beliefs, behaviors, and interpersonal styles in confinement or community settings. Professional working fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, or any other language is a plus.

· Personal Leave - new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually (prorated based on start date)
