LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Data Analysis, Reporting & Visualization- Performs advanced data analysis to support UI program operations, reporting and performance monitoring.
- Data Quality, Governance & Documentation-Conducts data validation, reconciliation and quality reviews for the various DUI datasets.
- System Modernization & Data Integration Support- Leads assigned data-related tasks for UI modernization efforts, including data mapping, test validation and system integration.
- Project Leadership & Cross-Divisional Collaboration-Serves as project lead for assigned data initiatives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Six years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in administrative staff or professional work for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for five years of the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree in a relevant field (Data Analytics, Statistics, Public Administration, Information Systems, or related field)
- Professional certification in Data Management, Governance, or Information Security (e.g., DAMA CDMP,CIPP, CISSP).
- Experience with UI system or USDOL ETA reporting requirements.
- Experience with system modernization projects, predictive modeling, or fraud detection analytics.
- Familiarity with Maryland State Government data system, policies and cybersecurity standards
- Experience using AI-assisted analytics tools to support automation, anomaly detection or enhanced reporting workflow.
