Introduction
The Maryland Department of Labor is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for an Fiscal Officer position within the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Budget preparation by keeping trac of the personal changes and the other expenses. Works with Office of Administration (OOA) in the development of any division related budget amendments. Assist in the development and management of the indirect cost allocation plan for the spreading of divisional and departmental expenses among the individual regulatory sub-programs which comprise the division.
- Monitors monthly expenditures activity for accuracy regarding types of expenditures and funding sources. Prepares financial management projections, encumbrances and other relevant factors. Prepares the Monthly and Fiscal Year to Date reports of OAG hours. The Fiscal Year to Date and the Monthly reports summarize legal hours broken down by the board and staff for the current and previous fiscal year.
- Responsible for the execution of credit card chargebacks through the PayPal System. Records credit card chargeback transactions in AS400 in the E-licensing Revenue Menu option. Notifies the Executive Directors when credit card chargeback transactions cannot be processed and provide direction to remedy this situation. Reviewing the SSN
- Reviews Requisitions in FIMS Purchasing. Compares the requested dollar amount to the Appropriated Budget amount to ensure funding is available to cover the expenditure.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Four years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for- year basis for the required experience.
