Main Purpose of Job
The core responsibility of the Administrative Specialist II is to provide
essential support to the Technical Support Division within the Air and
Radiation Administration (ARA).
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Permit Processing: Receiving and documenting Air Quality Permit
applications in the Environmental Tracking System (ETS) database.
- Renewals and Records: Processing State Permit to Operate and Federal Title
V-Part 70 Operating Permit renewal packages, while maintaining comprehensive
records management.
- Financial Administration: Preparing invoices, tracking
receipts, and performing data entry in the ETS and DocuWare databases.
- Administrative Support: Conducting research, compiling data,
and drafting correspondence for the Program Manager’s signature.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

must satisfy the minimum qualifications to be considered for this position and

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school
equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience performing administrative staff, clerical,
clerical technical, or secretarial work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college
or university for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Six (6) months of experience using databases performing data entry, recovering information, and processing invoices.
- Six (6) months of experience using office software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational, proofreading, and multi-tasking skills.
