Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
To serve as Administrative Assistant to the Supervisor and
Assistant Supervisor of Assessments, by facilitating the flow of work through
their offices.
Answer Taxpayer questions and perform duties in an accurate
and timely manor. Set up hearings, meetings, appointments, etc in a timely
manor as needed by the Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor.
Scheduling 1st level hearings-timeliness of appeals,
completion of dockets, office and outside office locations. Process decision
from hearings.
New property, deed plotting and property sketches for the
Assessment Administration and Valuation System (AA VS). Permit and occupancy
lists from county, processed and recorded ..
Organization and processing of PT AAB & MTC hearings,
decisions worked and record retention. Maintain schedules for MTC and PT AAB
cases for Residential and Commercial Assessors
Assist in supervising clerical function in the absence of
the Office Manager and Assistant Office Manger.
AA VS keying for Residential and Commercial Assessors as
needed. Assist in mailings of Commercial income questionnaires. Their duties as
required.
This position is a mission essential/mission critical
classification.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or
possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years performing secretarial or clerical
work involving typing duties.
Notes:
1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be
substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science
or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate
of thirty credits for one year of experience for up to two years of the
required experience.
3. Candidates
may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a
non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative,
Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Administrative Support
field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
