POSITION DUTIES
- Develops, communicates, implements, manages and is accountable for exercising executive level authority over the overall DHS data management strategy, including planning and managing strategies to ensure data security, integrity, and utilization in a manner that builds business value.
- Collaborates with programs within the Department, the Governor’s Office, State agencies, external vendors, and other stakeholders to assess data management needs and to develop enterprise-wide solutions for the collection and utilization of data resources.
- Works with data management experts, data warehousing, and data service providers to develop and oversee an enterprise-wide information management program.
- Coordinates and collaborates with the Department’s Office of Policy on strategies to leverage data to advance the mission, goals, and objectives of the Department .

- Provides executive-level oversight and direction on the management of enterprise information and data management budgeting.
- Provides expert advice to the Secretary and all units of the Department, and represents the Department on a State level and in collaboration with external partners regarding data management and the use of data resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP), Certified Information Management Professional or other relevant certification.

- Personal Leave - new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually (prorated based on start date).
