Introduction

This Statewide recruitment is being conducted to establish a list of eligible candidates to be used to fill current and future vacancies occurring in our Local Departments of Social Services throughout the State.
All approved candidates will be placed on this list of eligible candidates in one Best-Qualified randomized scoring band for at least one year. Placement on this list is not a guarantee that you will be offered an interview for any given vacancy.
This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose is to direct and oversee child welfare programs in the agency, including In-home family services, interagency family preservation services, emergency services to adults and families, Out of home services to include Reunification, Adoption and Resource Homes, and quality assurance. The duties include: supervision of all the above service unit supervisors, overseeing the flow of work, providing for quality control of the services given, plan and development of new programs, and grant funding sources as required by the agency as well as budget development, management and monitoring.

Directs and coordinates all activities of In-home and Out of Home Services programs. Develops local policies and procedures to carry out State and federal regulations.

Other Managerial Responsibilities
Serves as primary administrative officer for the Service Division with the responsibility for administration and direction of child welfare and adult services programs and operations,in the absence of and /or at the direction of the Deputy
Director.
POSITION DUTIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university
Experience:
- Three years of child welfare experience
- three years of Program or Project Management experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of Budget experience.
- Three of Supervisory experience.
- Three years of strategic planning experience.
LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION
LCSW-C or LMSW Independent Licensure is required.

LCSW-C or LMSW Independent Licensure.
