LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Monitors compliance with investment guidelines of external and internal investment managers for data points such as, but not limited to, permitted securities types, derivative usage, security classifications, allocations, index comparisons, sector weights, currency exposures, duration, proper authorization, limits and credit quality.
Performs and reports on operational due diligence of external managers on any areas of concern or risk.
Designs and implements testing methodologies in investment compliance monitoring applications.
Assists in the administration of the Agency ethics, conflicts of interest, MNPI, and personal trading policies.
Reviews employee activities for compliance with State ethics laws.
Reviews pre-clearance actions and trading activity by staff and reports on any violations.
Assists in monitoring and reporting for regulatory requirements.
Assists in reviewing compliance with travel related rules, regulations and policies.
Assists in compiling data for Public Information Act requests as it relates to investment data.
Contribute to the development of and monitoring of compliance with policies and procedures for the Investment Division.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Two plus years of experience performing investment
compliance responsibilities
• One plus years of experience with Bloomberg
• Two plus years of experience with investment compliance
monitoring systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex
formulas, large data sets)
• Knowledge and understanding of security-type
classifications, derivatives, indexes, and portfolio characteristics such as
credit quality, duration, weights, and allocations.
