Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to oversee the IT Unit's customer and desktop support services. Specifically, this position manages two critical teams (Desktop Support & Customer Support) who ensure that all DJS staff members have the proper equipment, access to systems and software and they can conduct their jobs with the appropriate technology. Additionally, this position is responsible for account management for access to all systems and software, which is critical as the data DJS staff have access to is confidential and accounts must be up-to-date at all times. Lastly, this position completes special projects with the CIO and Deputy CIO.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Eight years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software.

1. Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology for four years of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and one year of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for four years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute experience operating computer systems; or scheduling, controlling input and output to process data on computer systems; or evaluating, implementing and maintaining computer hardware and software; or converting data from project specifications by writing program code using generally accepted computer programming languages on a year-for-year basis for a high school education.
4. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology and four years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for the required experience.
5. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Computer Systems Operations classifications or Computer Systems Operations specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Four years of experience
in leading technical teams in IT optimization necessary to effectively manage
service delivery, including implementing customer service solutions and process
improvements is required.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to applicants who possess the following preferred qualifications. Include clear and specific information on your application regarding your qualifications.
Strong
leadership, team management and interpersonal skills.
Three years of
experience implementing ITSM, including implementing ITSM platforms in an
enterprise-level environment, including proficiency with ITSM platforms such as Service Now, JIRA Service
Management or other ITSM systems.
Experience
working in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
