The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking dedicated candidates to fill important roles within our department. We are one of the largest departments in Maryland with nearly 12,000 employees and a budget of more than $1 billion. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience in reviewing, verifying and interpreting information for compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
Notes:
1. Applicants may substitute education from an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester credit hours for one year of experience for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year to year basis for the required education and experience.

· Personal Leave - new State employees are awarded six (6) personnel days annually (prorated based on start date)· Sick Leave - fifteen (15) days of accumulated sick leave per year
