POSITION DUTIES
The Revenue Administration Division is seeking a friendly, highly motivated, organized, administrative professional with a keen attention to detail, with knowledge of Microsoft software, thrives in a fast paced environment, eager to learn, proficiency in English; written and spoken, in order to correspond with internal and external customers (business partners and supervisors), and is an effective team collaborator in all aspects of daily work. Great people skills, confidentiality and the ability to handle a variety of tasks are the keys to success in this position. One of the main job duties of this position is to be an HR liaison by learning and assisting with recruiting and on-boarding of permanent and temporary seasonal employees, assisting in maintaining reports for the division, providing direction and assistance to section managers with regard to a variety of personnel related matters. The incumbent will also provide administrative support to the Director and Deputy Directors of the Revenue Administration Division, as needed and serve as the back up for the Director's special assistant on occasion. This position is a hybrid, in office/teleworking position based on the needs of the office and completion of the probationary period.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of administrative staff or professional work.
NOTE:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least 1 year of experience working with the State of Maryland's Workday system. Intermediate
proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook applications.
