Introduction

The Maryland State Department of Education is dedicated to supporting a world-class educational system that prepares all students for college and career success in the 21st century. With excellent stewardship from our divisions, we oversee State and federal programs that support the needs of a diverse population – students, teachers, principals, and other educators throughout Maryland. As part of the Maryland State Department of Education, the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) provides services to assist students with disabilities prepare for the work world, vocational rehabilitation services to assist adults with significant disabilities who are seeking to enter or reenter the workforce, and the adjudication of Social Security disability claims for the citizens of Maryland.

POSITION DUTIES
- Provides management of transportation coordination for individuals with disabilities
- Assists in the management and coordination of the Center Services Team, facilitating the delivery of services provided within the Workforce & Technology Center's Career Training programs and services
- Provides AWARE training, technical assistance, and office management for counseling staff, employment services, and vocational service providers
- Ensures that services for individuals with disabilities adhere to all federal and state laws, rules and regulations
- Participates in Center/Agency trainings, workgroups, program activities, and professional development.
- Performs other related duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using Google docs and sheets and shared drives
- Work experience using a case management system or database application
- Experience in purchasing, tracking expenditures, invoicing, billing, acquiring bids/quotes, and related budget and fiscal processes
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
