Main Purpose of Job
The
OAG is seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven professional to serve as an
Investigator within the Consumer Protection Division (CPD), supporting both the

vital role in protecting Maryland consumers by investigating unfair, abusive,

The Division is staffed by approximately 36 Assistant Attorneys General and more than 40 professional staff, including investigators, analysts, and support personnel.
This Investigator position will focus on administering claims procedures to distribute restitution recovered through enforcement actions, while also performing the Division’s traditional investigative duties. Responsibilities include preparing and sending correspondence to claimants, coordinating with the state’s Comptroller to process payments, and managing the end-to-end restitution process.
