MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess a current Maryland medical license, current Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance Registration and boarded in Psychiatry by the American Medical Association Specialty Board or other Board approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians. Qualified candidates must also possess at least 6 years of experience managing health service operations in a behavioral health setting, and 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
The desirable candidate will also possess a certification in Forensic Psychiatry, as well as specific experience in forensic health service program planning and development.<\p>
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
1. Applicants for this classification must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. A copy of a current Maryland medical license and board certification should be attached to the application.
2. Applicants for this classification must be board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties, or other Board approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
3. Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal use of Drugs.
SELECTION PROCESS
This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
