POSITION DUTIES

The Assistant Recording Secretary position is an integral member of the Board of Public Works team who assists the Board's Recording Secretary as directed, and provides firstline customer service and administrative assistant for the Board of Public Works. 

Specific responsibilities include: 
  • Inputting data for Agenda Summary and After-Meeting Summary. 
  • Electronic filing. 
  • Answering the main BPW telephone line and responding to emails sent to the main BPW email address. 
  • Research projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Submission of a resume AND cover letter explaining the candidate's qualifications for the position.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. 
  • Experience in State Government.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Experience with data entry.
