Main Purpose of Job

The Office of the Attorney General is seeking candidates for an Administrative Officer III to assist with the management of state-wide registration programs in its Health Clubs Registration Unit in the Consumer Protection Division.

POSITION DUTIES

Job responsibilities include: day-to-day management of a caseload and databases, distributing and reviewing registration applications, responding to business and consumer inquiries, supervising maintenance of the Unit’s website, conducting investigations and participating in enforcement proceedings, preparing reports, responding to Public Information Act requests, and working closely with administrative staff. 

Candidate must be detail oriented and adept at multitasking, have strong communication, analytical, computer and organizational skills. Candidate must be comfortable communicating by telephone and in writing and managing computer databases and other programs, including: data entry management, ensuring data integrity and generating reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Four years’ experience in administrative or professional work.

 

Notes: Applicants may substitute 1 year of education for 1 year of the required experience, for up to two years of the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Two years experience supervising other employees or responsibility for program development and management.

2. Experience with using computer databases and other programs, to include generating reports.
