Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for the direct supervision of subordinate staff assigned to the Collection Department’s Call Center. Will be responsible for monitoring use of accrued leave usage, especially sick leave occurrences; monitoring attendance and adherence to leave policies; completion of annual PEP evaluations; maintaining updated MS-22’s. Administering disciplinary action to subordinate staff when necessary.

This is a special appointment position that will serve at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Experience: Four (4) years of full time experience collecting overdue payments for delinquent accounts owed.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2 years of Supervisory experience

2 years Call Center experience

2 1/2 years of Skiptracing/Credit Reporting experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates are required to undergo a criminal background check as part of the selection process due to the financial nature of the job.
