Main Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Director of Operations for the Office of Preparedness & Response, the main purpose of this full-time position will be to serve as the Fiscal Administrator and supervisor for all budgets, grants and procurements within OP&R while assisting in fiscal matters for the Deputy Secretary's Office of Operations. This position will directly supervise (1) fiscal PIN staff and (4) SPP staff. This position will also be responsible for assisting in training and providing guidance to other fiscal officers and OP&R in general relations to FMIS matters. The fiscal administrator employees in this position must adhere to current MDH and OP&R telework policy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, at least 5 years of professional fiscal experience and 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.

Candidates may substitute additional professional fiscal work experience on a year-for-year basis for the required education.

SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must possess two (2) years experience with Maryland State appropriations budget submission process and federal grant budgets and experience with FMIS, ADPICS, and R*Stars finance systems.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess experience:
  • Approving procurements at the fiscal level in ADPICS;
  • Tracking purchase orders, blanket purchase orders and payments using FMIS screens.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
