Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Information & Assistance
·
Field
all loan program and financing inquiries within 2 business days via phone and
email;
·
Monitor
and respond to all application requests and program inquiries received through
the ATLP general email inbox within 2 business days;
·
Ensure
appropriate referrals to disability organizations, services, and programs when
applicable;
·
On a daily basis, check the ATLP general email
inbox, fax machine, and online application portal for new applications
submitted to the program; appropriately download and inform applicants of
receipt of applications;
·
Serve as primary point of contact for all
consumers requesting and/or submitting applications;
·
Verify that all submitted applications include
required identifying information, are signed by all parties, and update
applications in the ATLP loan program database;
·
Ensure that information entered into the ATLP
loan program database is complete & accurate;
·
Ensure data entered into the MD AT Program
database is complete & accurate;
·
Under the guidance of the ATLP Director, process
and manage all applications according to the ATLP management processes;
·
Submit applications to lender(s) according to
the lender’s guidelines;
·
Order credit reports and request additional
applicant information as needed;
·
Prepare accurate and complete credit summaries
for ATLP Board review, along with any programmatic and/or administrative
updates weekly;
·
Submit all application credit summaries to ATLP
Director and Executive Director of MDTAP weekly for review;
·
Record votes and draft board review summaries;
submit drafts to ATLP Director and Executive Director of MDTAP;
·
Notify program applicants with Board decisions
and send appropriate follow up documentation;
·
Verify
closing documents and update application information in the ATLP loan
application database, submit final applications according to the appropriate
lender’s guidelines, work with the lender’s servicing team to ensure submission
or complete and appropriate documents, and work with the applicant to provide
closing instructions ensuring the loan closing process is followed;
·
Assist ATLP Director in carrying out board
directives and updating written ATLP policy and procedures as directed;
·
Assist ATLP Director in reviewing and entering
monthly lender repayment reports;
·
Other duties assigned.
·
For all vehicle loan requests, order a vehicle
evaluation and contact the dealership with any possible questions pertaining to
the value and/or information on the buyer’s order;
·
Serve as liaison between dealership and
applicant when necessary as it relates to the value of the vehicle and the loan
request.
·
In collaboration with the ATLP Director and
MDTAP ED, draft and send ATLP introduction emails to related disability
organizations, AT vendors, related state agencies, and others as identified;
·
Conduct virtual and in-person meetings and
presentations sharing information about the ATLP, its products, services, and
work;
·
Attend expos, conferences, and other outreach
events, as identified, to share ATLP program information with attendees;
·
Document outreach data in appropriate systems
and ensure correctness of outreach data;
·
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Two years of administrative staff or professional work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from a college or university for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans, policies, rules or regulations or analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in accounting, bank lending, and/or finance
2. Experience reading, analyzing, and communicating information on
credit reports
3. Experience providing services, resources, and/or general
information to customers with disabilities

BENEFITS
Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
