Main Purpose of Job

This position will serve as the Director of the Behavioral Health Division, overseeing the Local Addiction Authority and Core Service Agency functions; developing the public behavioral health system of care based on the needs assessments; and implementing behavioral health programs to address identified gaps in services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited college or university, at least 6 years of professional health services experience, including at least 3 years of experience at the managerial or supervisory level.  Five years of professional experience must have been in strategic planning and management.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred candidates should possess the following:

  • A Master's degree in a behavioral health field;
  • Experience with community engagement - establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with community partners;
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds; and,
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

SELECTION PROCESS

This is a Management Service position and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.  A resume must accompany your application.
