Introduction
The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA) serves as one of the largest revenue sources for the State of Maryland, supporting important state programs and services including education, public health and safety, human resources and the environment. In addition to generating revenue from the sale of lottery products, the MLGCA is also responsible for the oversight of the state’s casino gaming program, providing direction and guidance to its casino partners on financial, security, regulatory and licensing procedures for the facilities. The Agency also regulates Sports Wagering, Daily Fantasy Sports and Electronic Bingo, as well as Instant Ticket Lottery Machines, which are located at almost 90 Veteran’s posts. Gaming in Maryland is a dynamic and growing business that operates around the clock, 365 days of the year.

POSITION DUTIES
This position will be responsible for the Administration of Duties involving the Badging System Program pertaining to the Casinos, Sports Wagering Operators, Manufacturers, Contractors, their Officers, Directors, Employees and other designated persons. The incumbent for this position will be required to maintain various components of the Division’s Badging and Processing System while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
The incumbent will uphold the policies, procedures and requirements mandated by the Regulatory Licensing and Investigations Division to ensure the integrity of the position and the Division. The incumbent will provide all pending licensees, casinos, sports wagering operators, manufacturers, contractors and stakeholders with services in accordance with the State of Maryland Customer Service Promise.
- Administers the Badging System & Process for all casinos, sports wagering facilities, manufacturers and contractors.
- Oversees and acts in reference to the Divisions inventory of supplies, generates supply requisitions.
- Required to communicate effectively and timely with applicants, casinos, sports wagering facilities, manufacturers and contractors via telephone, email, written correspondence.
- Acts to safeguard licensees’ confidentiality and adheres to all COMAR regulations relating to handling, storing, issuing and return of all badges.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year performing secretarial or clerical work involving typing duties.
Notes:
1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours with a major in secretarial science or office technology from an accredited college may be substituted at the rate of thirty credits for one year of experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administration classifications or Administrative, Clerical or Office Services Specialty codes in the Administrative Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability to accurately type on a keyboard of a personal computer at a minimum of forty words per minute may be required, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
