Introduction
The Department of Labor (LABOR) Division
of Unemployment Insurance
(DUI), is accepting
applications from qualified candidates for the position of UI Professional V. This is a supervisory position in DUI’s Document Control and Management unit. This recruitment will be used to fill current
and future vacancies. The
resulting eligible list will be maintained for one year after the closing date
of this announcement.

Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- Focus on Metrics-Based Management Style in regard to document control and Management.
- Hold staff accountable through Data-Driven Performance Reviews.
- Commit to Task-Based Project Management and Accountability by identifying all tasks and subtasks necessary for the completion of the project, assigning realistic deadlines for each task and sub-task.
- Provide feedback, guidance, and training to UI Professionals in current, complex departmental policies, procedures, and programs to ensure all internal and external goals are met; ensure a satisfactory level of efficiency at a minimum.
- Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control check on staff work daily.
- Assist in training current and new staff on DataCap and Beacon processes & procedures.
- Schedule staff assignments based on mail volume and mail backlog.
- Provide quality Customer Service.
- Conduct bi-weekly staff meetings and daily Morning Huddles to provide instruction and to apprise staff of new and updated changes in current, departmental policies, procedures, and programs
- Compile and maintain legible, accurate records documenting the progress of individual staff and conduct and complete the evaluations of UI Professionals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applications that meet the minimum and selective qualifications will be referred to the hiring manager for interview selection. Units will select those candidates most closely demonstrating the qualifications for interview.
Experience: Eight years of experience in a public/or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program, or an insurance claims processing and fraud investigations program OR four years of experience in administrative staff or professional staff work and an additional four years of experience in a public/or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program, or an insurance claims processing and fraud investigations program .
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in a public/or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program, or an insurance claims processing and fraud investigations program OR four years of experience in administrative staff or professional staff work for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required general experience.
SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

Unemployment Insurance (Labor/DUI) to determine whether any monies are owed to Labor/DUI as a result of unemployment insurance overpayment/fraud. Any unpaid debt may have an impact on whether or not a candidate is offered employment.
