MDH Opioid Operational Command Center (OOCC)

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to report to the OOCC Executive Director. This position will provide high-functioning administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Director and overall unit. This position will also serve in a support capacity and conduct a variety of administrative tasks in support of the OOCC objectives and desired project outcomes. This position is currently telework eligible (operating on a hybrid schedule) which is subject to change.


Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from accredited college or university, at least five years of experience performing administrative support to a senior level administrator or executive level staff and at least two years of experience with executive level calendar management.

Candidates may substitute additional experience in administrative staff or professional work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.


The desired candidate should possess:
  • Experience providing administrative assistance to a director/executive level manager;
  • Experience coordinating and prioritizing multiple tasks in an efficient and effective manner while ensuring timely communication with supervisors in the event priorities need to shift;
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Word), Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Calendar), and virtual meeting applications (Google Meets, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Go-to-Meeting);
  • Experience communicating with internal and external executive audiences (including verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills in physical and virtual environments).


This is a Special Appointment position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. A resume must accompany your application.
