Main Purpose of Job

This position collaborates with the Director of rehabilitation program to sustain Family -driven, youth guided rehabilitation services. The main purpose of this position is to provide the following;
(1) Coordinator of the After School Program (ASP) responsible for planning, directing, implementing and evaluating the ASP and also assess staff performance during program, 
(2) Coordinator of Summer School Module Program (SSMP) to develop and implement program schedule, 
(3) Leadership of Activity Planning Committee, 
(4) Client’s Labor Coordinator to collaborate with other staff/agencies to seek appropriate work placement for clients and monitor their performance, 
(5) Facilitate the college intern program for Bachelor Level none-TR students, 
(6) Escort and supervision of clients during activity programs (during on campus or off-campus programs) for safety, and progress on task, 
 (7) Participate in all mandatory training and drills.


Vaccine Requirement: Per the emergency regulation issued by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) (86 FR 61555), and as permitted to go into effect by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 13, 2022, all staff of the MDH Healthcare System facilities required to show proof of first dose or single dose of COVID-19 vaccination 14 days after start date of employment. Staff includes, but is not limited to, regular and contractual employees, contractual staff, volunteers, and other state employees performing any duties at the facility. All staff are required to complete the full shot regimen, including any booster shot, as clinically indicated in order to satisfy this requirement. Candidates with an approved medical or religious reason for vaccination exemption must provide proof of exemption prior to appointment.

POSITION DUTIES


  • Develop schedules for clients and multidisciplinary staff related to ASP.
  • Direct the implementation of the ASP for both clients and staff
  • Evaluate the ASP to resolve problematic or difficult situations
  • Monitor client’s participation via rostered register for continuous evaluation and update of of ASP schedules with client centric and rehabilitation driven activity programs Collect and analyze ASP data 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional work.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year of the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience working with child clients in a mental health setting is preferred but not required.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
