LOCATION OF POSITION
Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
Solicits
written or oral quotations to purchase supplies, equipment, and services
through negotiation from qualified vendors.
Inputs
procurement data into the Integrated Engineering Management System (iEMS).
Prepares
requisitions for all supplies, materials, equipment and service contract
purchases by the state for the Air National Guard.
Obtains
competitive bids using formal advertising methods.
Prepares
solicitations for bids, including all required terms and conditions, and
clauses required to encompass special provisions of the purchases.
Verifies
quality and quantity of received goods and equipment against purchase orders
and shipping documents.
Exercises
custodial responsibility for all state property.
Keeps records
of all prices and sources of supplies and equipment, and follow-up on all
irregularities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Five years of experience in receiving, storing, issuing, purchasing and requisitioning supplies, materials and equipment, three years must have included experience at the supervisory or management level or must have involved the final responsibility for purchasing and requisitioning.
Notes: Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours of education at an accredited college or university for one year of the required general experience.

experience buying in State system
One year of
experience as a State credit card holder
One year of
experience with FMIS and RStars
One year of
experience with State policies
