Introduction
Shifts are subject to change based on the needs of the agency with hours 12:00-8:00AM, 8:00-4:00PM, and 4:00-12:00AM. Work schedules will include working weekends and holidays. This is an Essential Position (ex: Inclement weather or State of Emergency, you will be required to work as scheduled).

Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to monitor the status of offender enrolled in the home detention program through use of computer equipment, interface with multiple data files, direct telephone contact with offenders and their families, and radio communication with staff involved in field duties. Secondary duties involve supporting the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services by answering after hours telephone calls, taking serious incident reports from correctional facilities, making emergency notifications, and assisting the media in contacting various public information officers.
POSITION DUTIES
Inputs offender personal and schedule data into computers.
Ensures all data is up‑to‑date and performs reconciliation as necessary.
Processes all violations and conducts follow‑up.
Telephones offenders and family members for status updates.
Back‑ups computer system.
Performs computer maintenance tune‑ups.
Briefs oncoming PCO's to ensure workflow continuity.
Interfaces with field personnel through mobile communications.
Records communications on logs and ensures communications are in accordance with F.C.C. regulations and police practice.
Ensures response of allied police and medical personnel in emergency situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a State high school equivalence certificate. Experience: None
Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Operations Specialist classifications or Signal Corps, Cyberspace Support, or Communications specialty codes in the communications field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications
1) Experience researching criminal history information using databases such as NCIC, CJIS and OBSCIS?
2) Experience inputting offender personal data and scheduling into data systems?
